James Lisney leads a rich and varied musical life. Known for his musical integrity and pianistic mastery, he seamlessly transitions between roles as a concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, song accompanist, and piano director. His initiatives, such as the Schubertreise series at London’s Southbank Centre, the Beethoven Project, and the establishment of the recording label Woodhouse Editions, showcase his broad musical vision and interests. After studying with Jean Murphy, Phyllis Sellick, and John Barstow, James Lisney made his debut at Wigmore Hall in 1986.
